The objective of the Namo Saraswati Scheme
The primary aim behind launching the Namo Saraswati Yojana (નમો સરસ્વતી યોજના) is to motivate students to choose science as their academic discipline. The government intends to facilitate students in enhancing their knowledge in the fields of IT and Science through this scheme. Under the program, students studying in the 11th grade pursuing the science stream will receive a financial aid of INR 10,000, while those in the 12th grade will receive INR 15,000. The financial assistance will be directly deposited into the bank accounts of eligible students. This initiative is expected to boost the number of students opting for science education in Gujarat.Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible for the Namo Saraswati Yojana:The applicant must be a permanent resident of Gujarat state.
- The applicant must be pursuing the science stream in either class 11th or class 12th.
- The applicant must be enrolled in a school located within Gujarat state.
Namo Saraswati Yojana Benefits. Under the Namo Saraswati Yojana:
- Selected applicants will receive financial assistance from the state government.
- The financial assistance will be directly transferred to the selected applicants’ bank accounts.
- Students studying in class 11th with a science stream will receive financial assistance of INR 10,000.
- Students studying in class 12th with a science stream will receive financial assistance of INR 15,000.
