What is PVC Aadhaar Card

The Aadhaar PVC card is a newer and more durable version of the traditional paper-based Aadhaar card. This debit/credit-card-sized PVC Aadhaar card contains several smart features and is thus, a more secure version of the traditional Aadhaar card. An Aadhar PVC card is a valid proof of identity and address. Moreover, it is equally valid as any other form of Aadhaar card including the traditional paper Aadhaar card, Aadhaar letter, e-Aadhaar, m-Aadhaar as well as the masked e-Aadhaar.

A fee of Rs 50 has to be paid

Polyvinyl chloride cards are known as PVC cards. It is a type of plastic card on which Aadhaar card information is printed. You will have to pay a fee of Rs 50 to make this card.

How to Order Aadhaar PVC Card Online

Given below is a step-by-step guide on how you can easily order Aadhaar PVC card via the UIDAI website using your Aadhaar Number or Enrolment ID:

• Step 1: On the website of UIDAI,  Click on Order Aadhaar PVC Card listed under the ‘Get Aadhaar’ section
• Step 2: If your mobile number is registered with UIDAI, login to myAadhaar using your Aadhaar Number and OTP sent to your registered mobile number. In case your mobile number is not registered with UIDAI, you can request for a PVC Aadhar card using a non-registered/alternate mobile number.
• Step 3: Verify your demographic details such as name, date of birth, gender and address displayed on the screen and click on the ‘Submit’ button
• Step 4: Confirm your request and make the payment of Rs. 50 using any of the payment methods.
• Step 5: Once the payment is received, an acknowledgement is displayed containing your SRN (Service Request Number). You can download the acknowledgement slip as well for future reference and use the SRN in the acknowledgement slip to check the status of PVC Aadhaar card delivery. Now your Aadhaar card will look like an ATM card, a new card will be made for Rs 50

How to make PVC base Adhaar  card?

For this you have to apply online on UIDAI website.

• Go to 'My Aadhaar' section on this website website and click on 'Order Aadhaar PVC Card'.
  
  
  
• You will then need to enter your Aadhaar 12 digit number or 16 digit virtual ID or 28 digit Aadhaar Enrollment ID (EID).
• Then you have to fill in the security code or captcha.
• Click on Send OTP for OTP.
• Then fill in the space provided and submit the OTP received on the registered mobile.
• A preview of your Aadhaar PVC card will be in front of you after submission.
• Then you have to click on the payment option given below. You will then be sent to a payment page. You have to pay a fee of Rs 50 here.
• After completing the payment, your Aadhaar PVC card order process will be completed.

How to Check Aadhaar PVC Card Status Online

Given below are a few simple steps to check your PVC Aadhar card status/Aadhaar PVC card order status online:

Step 1: On the UIDAI website, click on “Check Aadhaar PVC Card Status” listed under the Get Aadhaar section
